The Climate Savers Computing Initiative, in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program, is introducing the Power Down for the Planet challenge to encourage universities to reduce their own IT power consumption and get their students, faculty, and staff involved in the fight against computing energy waste.
